Nochwas angefangen habe ich
nämlich die Wavy-Mütze für den Mützalong von Aud. Ich stricke auf einer 80 cm langen Rundstricknadel mit Wunderschlingen-Technik. Am Anfang ein bisschen wurschtelig, aber ich bin auch aus der Übung. Jetzt, wo ich die ersten Zentimeter habe, geht es besser. Aber ich habe keine Lust, mir extra dafür ein Nadelspiel zu kaufen.
Die letzten Tage habe ich auch immer wieder verschiedene Muster ausprobiert. Heute eine Art Rippenmuster, das ich mir selbst ausgedacht habe, für das ich allerdings noch keine Verwendung weiß. Das dann nochmal in einer Variation, auch ganz nett, aber ich finde es nicht so umwerfend.
Dann vor einigen Tagen das Sternchenmuster, das besonders mehrfarbig sehr schön ist. Im "großen Strickmuster-Lexikon" (= Harmony Guides 2 und 3) ist es drin, bloß von links gestrickt. Wirklich lustig.
Da ich vorhabe, damit mal ein paar Socken zu stricken, musste ich es "umdrehen", was auch geklappt hat, so dass es von der rechten Seite zu stricken ist. Nunja, ich habe mal wieder das Rad neu erfunden, denn die Anleitung dafür gibt es auch im Internet, nämlich bei Liane (man muss ein bisschen suchen, im linken Frame auf Stricken, dann im rechten Frame auf "Strickmuster und mehr", dann ganz nach unten scrollen, und bei "Strickmuster 2" nachsehen). Es ist am Anfang ein bisschen schwierig zu stricken (besonders, wenn man wie ich fest strickt) und ich habe mir gleich eine Nadel abgebrochen, eine von meinen Pony Pearls. Bis allerdings Socken draus werden, das wird wohl noch eine Weile dauern. Ich will ja erstmal UFOs wegstricken.
Und heute habe ich noch einen Auftrag für vier Fusselschals bekommen. Allerdings habe ich nicht versprochen, dass ich sofort anfange damit, sondern erst nach Weihnachten. Denn ich will auf jeden Fall Ralfs Janker fertig bekommen.
I started another project, a Wavy Hat, for a German Knitalong. I'm knitting on a 80 cm long circular needle, because I don't own a set of dpns that size, and don't plan to buy one. Magic Loop does the trick for me. At first ist was a bit crowded and skewed, but now I have some 2 inches done it is getting easier.
During the last few days I've been experimenting with some stitch patterns. Today I knitted a ribbing variation that I thought up myself. I don't know yet what I'm going to do with it. Then another variation, but I'm not really thrilled by these 2.
A few days ago I did the star stitch I according to Harmony Guide 3 (I have the German Edition). This version is worked from the back side, so all pattern stitches are purled.
Since I maybe want to use it for a pair of Socks, I'd like to work in the round, and I wouldn't want all that purling, because then the non-patterning rows would be purls, too. So I came up with a way to work it from the front side, doing all knit stitches. But I reinvented the wheel, as it turns out, at least there is a German Internet site that has the pattern done from the front side. At the beginning it was a bit difficult to knit, especially since I'm a tight knitter. I even broke one of my pony pearls. Until I'm going to make socks from that pattern it will be some time, because I first have to finish a few UFOs.
And today I got a commission for four fuzzy scarves. But I told them I can only start after the New Year. So my knitting schedule for January is set already. Until then I need to finish Ralfs Janker.
