habe ich auch, wenn auch nicht allzu viel - ein paar Mustersätze Ärmelschal, eine Opalsocke ist beim Anfang vom Zwickel, und dann habe ich ein paar Pröbchen gestrickt - ich versuche ein Muster herauszuarbeiten, von dem ich nur ein Foto habe.

Ich habe ein ähnliches Muster in einem meiner Musterbücher gefunden, es hat nur zu weniger Maschen, und ist weniger löchrig. So probiere ich nun herum, bis ich das Muster so habe, wie es mir gefällt. Und ich sehe gerade, dass mein Muster eine etwas andere Richtung genommen hat als das Original. Ich bin mir jetzt gar nicht mehr sicher, ob ich das noch ändern will. Allerdings juckt es mich ja doch herauszufinden, ob ich in der Lage bin, ein Muster nach einem guten Foto nachzuarbeiten. Es macht richtig Spaß, an so etwas herumzupuzzeln.

I looked through all of my pattern books, and found something like it, but not really the same one. It has less stitches, and uses less yarnovers. So I'm trying out and changing things until I like what I see. And I just saw that my stitch pattern is still quite different from what is on the photo. I'm not sure, whether I really want to change this. On the other hand I'd really be interested to know whether I'm able to use a photo as the only guide for knitting a pattern. But just trying this out is a lot of fun.

ist meine letzte Übersetzung, ich habe es sogar noch am Freitag abend spät geschafft. Dafür habe ich in den letzten Tagen allerdings auch oft bis zu 11 Stunden am Tag nur daran gesessen. Und am Wochenende wollte ich dann mal gar keinen Computer sehen.

Es gab auch genug anderes zu tun - im Haushalt ist in den letzten Wochen manches liegen geblieben, ich organisiere für eine Freundin, die schwer krank ist, einen Umzug (zum Glück muss ich nicht alles allein machen, sondern habe sehr liebe Helfer, die sowohl mit anpacken als auch mitdenken), tja, und natürlich der ganz normale Lauf einer Familie, in der halt die Eltern arbeiten müssen, aber die Teenager wegen Sommerferien zu Hause sind.

is my latest translation, which I was done with Friday night. The last few days were up to 11 hours of work only on that. At the weekend I wasn't in the mood to do anything on the computer, so it had a weekend, too.

There's enough other things to be done - I let household chores slack a bit lately, I'm also organizing a move for a friend, who is to ill to do it herself (I'm very happy that I don't have to do it all alone, but I have lots of nice helpers, who work as well as think together with me), well, and then the just normal life of a family where both parents have to work, but whose Teenagers are at home on summer holidays (six and a half weeks).
