Gestern ist er noch fertig geworden, oder eher heute morgen ganz früh - der erste Branching-Out-Schal. Und es war noch mehr als spannend. Es fehlte für eine Reihe Garn. Aber bei der ersten Hälfte gab es einen Rest, der hat genau für die eine Reihe und den Maschenstich gereicht. 40 cm sind jetzt noch übrig. So mag ich das. Ein Foto gibt es, wenn ich die Fäden vernäht und den Schal auch noch gespannt habe. Und ich habe einen Fehler beim Maschenstich gemacht, den ich allerdings auch nicht korrigieren werde. Es sieht trotz allem gut aus, also bleibt es so. Man sollte halt nicht mitten in der Nacht so etwas kompliziertes wie Maschenstich machen.

Beim zweiten Schal werde ich gar nicht so viele Mustersätze machen, weil Nr. 1 mir fast zu lang ist. Ja, ich weiß, ich hatte Angst, dass es nicht reicht. Ok, lange schmale Schals sind in, aber sooo lang wäre halt doch nicht nötig gewesen. Wir werden sehen, wie es klappt.

Finished!

Yesterday I finished Branching Out, or better this morning quite early. And it was really exciting - I was short of one little row. But fortunately there was some leftover on the other half, and it was just enough for the row, and the kitchenering. So there is left about a 40 cm of thread. Yay, like that. I'll make a photo after weaving in the ends and blocking. There is a mistake in the grafting, but it still looks good, so I'm not going to frog that. I shouldn't embark on something that needs such concentration in the middle of the night.

With no. 2 I'll do a few repeats less, because no. 1 is a bit longish. Yes, I know, I feared I'd not have enough length. Ok, long skinny scarves are in, but that long wouldn't have been necessary. We'll see how it works out.
