geworden bin ich noch am Mittwoch: Ich suchte doch nach diesen Moosgummi-Matten, die man zusammensetzen kann, um darauf Strickstücke zu spannen (die Idee stammt aus der Summer of Lace-Liste). Am Mittwoch waren wir noch im Porta, und dort bekamen wir solche Matten als Sonderangebot. Und glücklicherweise solche, wo die einzelnen Teile 30x30 cm groß sind! Die werden gleich benutzt, um den Ärmelschal zu spannen

I *did* find something on Wednesday: I was looking for those foam rubber mats that can be interlocked to make bigger ones. I want to use them for blocking (I got the idea from people on the Summer of Lace List). Wednesday we were at Porta who are selling mostly furniture, and there we found the mats in the specials section. I'm really happy these are 30 x 30 cm in size. I'm about to use them for blocking the Shrug.

Endlich ist der Ärmelschal fertig. Gestern ist der zweite Teil fertig geworden, dann habe ich beide Teile im Maschenstich verbunden und dann noch die Fäden vernäht, ohne sie abzuschneiden. Damit will ich warten, bis ich alles gespannt und zusammen genäht habe. Außerdem habe ich die Ärmel zusammen geheftet um zu sehen, ob das Ganze passt: Jawoll, genauso wollte ich es haben.

Hier ein paar technische Daten, ehe ich sie vergesse:

Eventually the shrug is finished. Yesterday I finished knitting the second part, then kitchenered the halves together and sewed in ends without snipping them. I'll snip them when I'm done blocking and sewing up the seams. I also basted the sleeves closed so I could try on the shrug: It is exactly what I wanted it to be.

Now I'll give you a few technical data before I forget the details:
