Am Wochenende
habe ich auch noch anderes gemacht als stricken: Brot gebacken (neues Rezept erst für meine Brotmaschine umgerechnet und dann ausprobiert, nämlich für Toastbrot) und auch Schoko-Bananen-Muffins, ein bewährtes Rezept. Das hat mal wieder richtig gut getan, weil ich im letzten halben Jahr kaum zu solchen Dingen gekommen bin, wegen Berufsstress. Im Moment geht es ruhig zu, deshalb kann ich mal so was schönes machen. Außerdem waren die Kinder auf einer Freizeit, und da habe ich auch mehr Ruhe, um Sachen auszuprobieren.
Die nächsten vier Wochen wird hier wahrscheinlich wenig los sein, denn diese Woche habe ich noch viele Termine, nächste Woche ist Prochrist-Mobil in Köln, wo ich fast immer den ganzen Tag im Einsatz bin (das ist nur möglich, weil der beste aller Ehemänner mir den Rücken freihält). Danach sind dann 14 Tage Ferien, von denen wir 1 Woche weg sind. Den Rest der Ferien werde ich brauchen, um den Urlaub vorzubereiten, die Wäscheberge und das Chaos der Woche zu besiegen, in der ich nicht da bin, die Urlaubswäsche zu waschen. Ich werde versuchen, ab und zu mal was zu schreiben, damit hier nicht ganz Pause ist, aber wahrscheinlich nicht ganz so regelmäßig.
During the weekend I did intersting things other than knitting (yes, there are such things in my life!): I baked bread (I tried a new receipe, which I also had to change to work with the bread machine) and chocolate-banana-muffins (a good ol' receipe). I didn't have time to do such nice things during the last half year or so, because my job didn't allow such luxuries. Right now it is quiet at my job, so I can relish in such mundane tasks. My kids were away with the church's teenie group, so I had time to try new tricks.
During the next four weeks it will get quiet here. This week I have lots of appointments, next week I will work with the ProChrist-Mobile Campaign in Cologne, while hubby will hold the fort at the home front. After that theres fall break at school, and we'll be away for a week. The rest of the break will be devoted to housework: mountains of laundry from the week away and the Pro-Christ-Week, and cleaning chores. I'll try to write here once in a while, but don't count on any regularity.
