Eine gestrickte Mütze in Kuchenform // Funny pattern: A knitted cup-cake hat

Und weil ich jetzt am Janker nicht weiter stricken kann, ehe nicht das Geheimnis der Ärmellänge gelöst ist, ist jetzt erstmal der Wavy wieder dran. Ich brauche unbedingt noch Schal und Mütze bei diesem Wetter. Schal ist nicht so dringend, aber ich möchte mal endlich was haben, was zusammen passt. Wenn es mir nicht wieder (wie das Stirnband/Schal-Set von 2003) von meinem Töchterchen abgeschwätzt wird.

And because I can't go on knitting on the Janker until the mystery of sleeve length has been solved I'm going to turn my attention towards Wavy. I really do need a scarf and a hat in this weather. Scarf is not that important, but I don't have a hat. And after all I want a set, two matching items. Provided my sweet little daughter doesn't talk me out of it again, like she did with the headband/scarf set I knit in 2003.

denn der Ärmel ist aufgespannt und trocknet vor sich hin. Spannend aber deshalb, weil ich die Anleitung ein wenig verändert habe, und etwas kürzere Ärmel gestrickt habe. Habe ich richtig gemessen, geschätzt und gerechnet? Zu lang, zu kurz, gerade richtig? Das wird sich zeigen, wenn der Ärmel trocken und eingeheftet ist.

That's how the sleeve looks right now. I'm really excited, because only when this thing is dry I can see whether I calculated, guesstimated and measured correctly. I changed the instructions and made shorter sleeves. Short enough? Too short? Just right? We'll see after the sleeve has dried and been sewn in.
