Knapp
ist die Angabe für das braune Garn gewesen: Ich habe jetzt alles aufgebraucht und beide Bündchen für die Ärmel (die letzten Teile in braun) sind nur 7 Reihen statt 8 lang geworden. Da ich die Ärmel sowieso ein paar cm kürzer stricken muss (dank Anprobe und Foto erkannt) ist das nicht so schlimm, als dass ich wegen 5 m Garn mir die Arbeit mache, ein Knäuel nachzubestellen. Mal abgesehen davon, dass ich nach 2 Jahren zwar noch dieselbe Qualität, aber wohl kaum noch dieselbe Farbpartie bekommen werde. Das passt schon.
I don't have enough yarn for the Janker, at least not of the dark brown. I used all of it up making two sleeve cuffs of 7 rows instead of 8 rows. Thats what the instructions are telling me. Since I have to shorten the sleeve anyway this is ok. I won't order a whole ball just because of 5 yards of yarn. And I'm sure I wouldn't get the same dye lot after two years. So no harm done.

Wie man sieht, hat das Ausschnittbündchen gewonnen. Wundert euch nicht drüber, ich habe kurzerhand eine Stricknadel missbraucht, um die Vorderseite zu schließen. Das bisschen Schlabbern am unteren Rand kommt daher, dass die Seiten nur zu 2/3 geschlossen sind. Sieht doch schon ganz schön aus! Jedenfalls leuchteten Ralfs Augen, als er sich im Spiegel beguckt hat. Das Fotografieren fand er dann nicht mehr so klasse, deshalb heute kopflos. Die Farbe ist übrigens ein bisschen gelbstichig, aber das macht Kunstlicht ohne Blitz. Ich wollte, dass man das Muster sieht.

The side seams are only 2/3rds close, thats why the bottom is a bit slacking. Looks good, doesn't it? Ralfs eyes gleamed when he saw himself in the mirror. But he didn't like being photographed, thats why he is headless today. The color is bit too yellowish, but that's from artificial light without flash. I wanted you to see the pattern.

wenn auch kein fertig - nee, so schnell geht das nicht. Das zweite Vorderteil vom Janker ist fertig. Und ich habe doch sage und schreibe 2 Monate für das Teil gebraucht. Tsss. Aber es hat auch immer wieder 'rumgelegen. Die Schulternaht habe ich gleich im 3-needle-bindoff geschlossen. Am Anfang dachte ich noch, es ist größer, aber das kommt nur, weil das Teil sich dehnt, wenn es an den Nadeln hängt. Jetzt, wo es entspannt ist, ist es genausogroß wie die anderen.
Jetzt kommt wieder eine Entscheidung: Was mache ich zuerst - das Halsbündchen oder den Ärmel. Das entscheide ich, wenn ich heute wieder zur Stricknadel greife.

I closed the shoulder seam in three needel bindoff. At first I thought the new part was bigger, but that was just because it was still a bit stretched from hanging off the needle. Now it is relaxed and the same size as the rest.
And now there's a decision to make - what will I knit first, neckband or sleeve. I'll decide when I reach for the project next time.
