Fragen über Fragen
Jetzt habe ich ca. 25 cm von dem ersten Vorderteil. Ich freue mich schon auf das zweite Vorderteil, denn da muss ich keine Knopflöcher einarbeiten - was ich lästig finde. Ich muss häufig mal 1 oder 2 Reihen rückwärts stricken, weil ich mal wieder das Knopfloch vergessen habe. Nunja.
Leider sehe ich, dass bei der Blende die Mapro nicht ganz mit dem Rest übereinstimmt. Und zwar sowohl in der Maschen- wie auch in der Reihen zahl. Dazu muss man sagen, dass die Blende mit den Knopflöchern in einer anderen Farbe der gleichen Wolle gleich mitgestrickt wird. Und die untere Blende ist ebenfalls in dieser anderen Farbe gestrickt. Beide Blenden wellen sich etwas, wobei mich das bei der unteren Blende nicht wundert. Denn das Zopfmuster zieht schon ziemlich heftig zusammen. Aber wie gesagt stimmt auch die Höhe nicht, was mich etwas erstaunt. Ziehen sich Zopfmuster auch längs etwas zusammen? Und damit ihr alle Fakten habt: Die Blende wird durchgängig 1 re verschr./ 1 li gestrickt. Alles übrigens laut Anleitung.
Was soll ich machen? Hoffen, dass sich das gibt, wenn die Teile erstmal gespannt werden? Bzw. dass es nicht auffällt, wenn das Teil (ziemlich körpernah) getragen wird? Aufmachen und Blende extra stricken (gefällt mir nicht, da ich ungerne nähe)? Sonstige Vorschläge???
I have about 25 cm now of the first front part of Ralfs Janker. I'm looking forward to doing the second one, because then I don't have to make buttonholes - which I find annoying. With the buttonholes I often have to tink a row or two because I forgot to do the buttonhole. Well...
Unfortunately I see that the stitch count of the border is not the same as the pattern. It is different in stitch and row gauge. I have to add that I'm working the border in a different color of the same wool. I'm also working it at the same time as the rest of the piece. The lower border is also knitted in a different color. Both borders are a bit wavy, which is not astonishing in the lower border because the pattern of the non-border part is heavily cabled. But as I said the row count is also off which is kind of funny. Do cables have a different row gauge than a simple rib pattern? And to give you all the facts: The pattern of the rib of the borders is k 1 tbl, p 1.
What am I to do? Should I just hope that blocking will even this out? Should I hope that when the Janker is worn nobody will notice? Visit Frog Pond and reknit without the border, work border extra and sew it on later (not an alternative I like). Other suggestions?
